The Scuola Internazionale di Grafica di Venezia is an international institution located in the heart of historic Venice.

Since its foundation in 1969, the Scuola has welcomed artists and students worldwide. It has also established affiliations and engaged in collaborative projects with international universities, museums, guilds and biennales.

Erasmus Plus for Students at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica is a unique opportunity to become an active member of our international community. As an Erasmus + trainee, you will support and assist our faculty, staff, and international artists in residence as they work in the studios.

Artists Residencies in Printmaking & the Artists' Book

The Scuola Internazionale di Grafica di Venezia offers 1 to 12-week studio residencies to professional and practising artists throughout the year. Projects can include printmaking, book arts, drawing, painting, illustration and calligraphy.

The Resident Artists have access to the Scuola’s studios seven days per week. The Scuola is located in the heart of Venice and is equipped for most printmaking methods, including lithography, letterpress, intaglio, and less-toxic techniques.

Study Abroad in Venice & Educational Workshops for School Groups

The history of the printing press

The Scuola offers a series of educational, hands-on workshops to groups of college and high school students who are visiting Venice with their professors.

These 3-6 hour immersive workshops focus on Printmaking, Bookbinding and Typography.

Study Abroad Programs

The Scuola  is affiliated with Italian and international institutions. We have hosted innumerable university programs.

International students work side by side with Italian students and resident artists from all over the world in a multi-cultural and multi-generational environment.

Our intensive 6-hour Workshops are structured to be suitable for both beginners and experienced participants. The language of instruction is Italian and English.
